Mizuho Nishikubo's latest animated feature film, Giovanni's Island was greeted with the Adult Jury Best Picture Award at the 18th Reel 2 Real - International Film Festival for Youth (R2R 2015), held in Vancouver (BC), Canada, from April 10 to 17, 2015.

Founded in 1998, the R2R Film Festival inspires and equips youth to analyze, appreciate, explore, create and share screen media. The festival aims to increase understanding of the art and craft of filmmaking; and promote the production and presentation of high quality independent films for youth.
