Shinsuke Sato's Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror is one of the eight feature films selected for the 1st NY/SF International Children's Film Festival, to be held in San Francisco, USA, from September 24 to 26, 2010.

Presented by San Francisco Film Society and New York International Children's Film Festival, the newborn festival is a three-day celebration of diverse, enlightening, inspiring and entertaining films for kids ages 6-18 and their families.

"The creators of Ghost in the Shell mix exquisitely detailed 2D backgrounds with modern 3D character designs in a dazzling animated adventure that plays like Alice's fall through the rabbit hole into a world of topsy-turvy, anime dream logic." (from the festival's website)
