Yoshimi Itazu's directorial debut mid-lenght film Pigtails has been selected in the Official Short Film Competition at the 18th Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF 2016), to be held in Bucheon, Republic of Korea, from October 21 to 25, 2016. This year the festival received a record-breaking 1,221 submissions from 70 countries, and 135 films from 37 countries have been shortlisted in the Official Selection, with 42 films becoming part of the Short Film Competition.
