The outspoken third daughter of great ukiyo-e master Katsushika Hokusai. A typical "like father, like daughter" case, O-Ei inherited from her father both artistic talent and a grouchy personality, and she helps in the family trade: "With two brushes and four chopsticks, we'll get by anywhere," she explains to her mother. Although she often draws instead of her father, she goes uncredited. She has a strange fascination for big fires, never in short supply in the city of Edo. Check O-Ei's historical profile here
