Episode 1 "Ojisama o hirotta yo" of Eden of the East (2009), the fantapolitical thriller directed by Kenji Kamiyama, has been officially selected in competition for the 13rd Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival (SICAF 2009) in the category TV Films. This year the festival received 1423 applications from 52 countries. The festival, in its 13rd year, will be held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from July 22 to 26, 2009.

Supported by its broad and intense international network, SICAF aims at one of Asia's biggest international animated film festivals, presenting new technology and new trends of animated films. SICAF is an ASIFA (Association Internationale du Film d'Animation) recognized film festival that attracts more than 100,000 visitors and participants every year.
